Five Kinds of Silence by Shelagh Stephenson is a play that tells the story of a family where control is the driving force. Orchard Theatre Company performed the play  to raise awareness of the prevalence of domestic abuse and to raise funds for ADAPT. The play was a huge success with audiences describing it as “Powerful” and “Relentless” Rehearsals before opening night. Rehearsals before opening night. Rehearsals before opening night. 16 Days of Action Opposing Violence Against Women runs from 25th of November until the 10th of December every year. In 2010 ADAPT among other things ADAPT had an exhibition at the Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick The Tunnel of Light, symbolising a journey from darkness into light, created by women on the Breaking the Silence Project was on display. Primary Health Care Workers in conjunction with West Limerick Resources created Pamper Packs that were delivered in Newcastle West. The Pamper Packs gave women in the area a treat as well as providing them with information about domestic abuse and the services available.
