1-Day ‘Understanding Domestic Abuse’

The next 1-day 'Understanding Domestic Abuse' course will be held on 3rd October 2018 and another on 12th December 2018.

The course 'opens the door' on the complex dynamics at play in intimate relationship abuse and is suitable for anyone whose work, professional or voluntary, brings them in contact with women and families, i.e. Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, Lawyers, Family Support Workers, Childcare Workers, Clergy, Counsellors, Social Workers, Welfare Officers, Gardai, Coaches, Group Leaders/Facilitators, etc. etc.

Sensory Room for children opens at ADAPT

ADAPT Child & Youth service has developed a Sensory Room.

This room will aid the work of the staff in supporting children who experience domestic abuse as it will provide space to support children who may display anxiety and or feelings to relax and unwind.  In addition the ADAPT Child & Youth service has supported children with different needs and abilities.
