Court Accompaniment

ADAPT's Court Accompaniment service provides support to women who are involved in legal action relating to domestic abuse.

Our support workers are trained and experienced. They provide emotional support before and after court hearings and help women to navigate the often unfamiliar settings and language of the court and legal services.

Support workers can accompany you when meeting solicitors, applying for protection, safety or barring orders, or when attending court hearings relating to custody, access, maintenance, separation or divorce. If you need to report an incident to the Gardaí the support worker will also assist you with this.

The Court Accompaniment service is available to all women across Limerick City and County who are going through a legal process relating to domestic abuse.

If you would like to talk to a support worker about this service, please ring our free and confidential helpline on 1800 200 504 at any time.
