Help support ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services by taking part in a fundraising activity or event.

ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services run a number of activities and fundraising events throughout the year.

ADAPT is increasingly dependent on raising funds through these events and we are truly grateful for your support.

As part of the ‘Purple Up’ campaign, shops, schools, credit unions, banks, offices and organisations are asked to decorate their windows in purple and display posters supporting the campaign.

16 Days of Action

The 16 Days of Action Opposing Violence Against Women takes place every year from the 25th of November until the 10th of December. This is a worldwide event that aims to raise awareness of violence against women and the benefits of a combined effort by governments, the public and community organisations to eliminate this violence in its many forms.

This year’s 16 Days of Action will be full of activities and events to raise awareness of the many abuses that women face and providing information about the supports that are available to women experiencing abuse.

Limerick will also 'Purple Up' to highlight domestic abuse, with shops, schools, credit unions, banks, offices and organisations are asked to decorate their windows in purple and display posters supporting the campaign.

Why not join in and organise an event in your community. You could have a coffee morning, organise a talk, an awareness raising event or do your bit by supporting one of the many events taking place around Limerick.

Organise your own event

And remember you also have the option to run your own event. Perhaps you are planning an over- seas adventure holiday or you may be training for one of the many physical fitness challenges taking place in Ireland this year, why not make the most out of your efforts and raise much needed funds for ADAPT at the same time!

Alternatively if you’re looking for something less physically demanding you’ve got lots to choose from such as organising table quizzes; karaoke evenings or hosting a fashion show.

Remember you could do this as an individual or you could rally up the support in your work place or sports/other club and get your friends/ family/ colleagues on board as well.

Whatever you want to do, the ADAPT fundraising team is here to support you and offer you any materials and resources available to assist you.

By organising an event you are making a valuable contribution to ADAPT and the many women and children experiencing domestic abuse who access our services every day.
