Silent Walk in the People’s Park

As part of this year’s 16 Days of Action Against Violence Against Women a silent walk will be taking place in the People’s Park on the 4th of December at 1 o’clock.

Silent Walk in the People’s Park

This walk will highlight that one in five women in Ireland experience domestic abuse and will take approximately 15 minutes.

The 16 Days of Action Against Violence Against Women takes place every year from the 25th of November, UN Day Opposing Violence Against Women, to the 10th of December, Human Rights Day. This international campaign aims to raise awareness of the prevalence of violence against women and to show solidarity with those experiencing it.

Everyone is welcome to attend the silent walk to show their support for the elimination of violence against women.

So why not join in and stand up against domestic abuse.
