Level 1:
Domestic Abuse Awareness Training
(In-person training)
This course shares information, experience and real-life case examples of domestic abuse and coercive control to help participants gain a greater understanding of domestic abuse relationships and the dynamics of abuse. Participants will learn about power and control in abusive relationships as well as the challenges and barriers that many women and children face.
At the end of this training, participants will have:
- An understanding of the prevalence of domestic abuse.
- Learned about the role power and control has in an abusive relationship.
- Explored the different types of abuse, the tactics and cycle of domestic abuse.
- An understanding of the many barriers that face women and children when seeking support.
- An understanding of the wide-reaching impact of domestic abuse.
- A knowledge of the support services available.
- Courses typically run from 10am – 4.30pm (In-Person Training)
- Certificate of attendance on completion of course.
