Public Awareness
Public Awareness and Campaigns
We aim to increase the public’s understanding of the causes and impact of domestic abuse/coercive control through the campaigns that we run and other public awareness work.
Awareness Raising Talks
We provide awareness raising talks (both online and in-person) to various groups including:
- community groups
- schools and 3rd level institutions
- health professionals

- businesses
Various statutory agencies such as:

The talks cover many subjects including:

- Information on the services that ADAPT provides.
- How to access support for someone experiencing domestic abuse/coercive control.
- How to develop a workplace policy on the new Domestic Abuse Leave and guidelines for employers on how best to implement this.
Events
Another way we create awareness is to work with local communities and attend and speak at events across the region. This can include:
- Professional Conferences
- Community Events
- Coffee Mornings
- Information Stands
- Walks / Marches
- Online Webinars
Campaigns
We use our campaigns to give voice to survivors of domestic abuse and to help create a society with zero tolerance of domestic abuse/coercive control. Some of the recent campaigns we have been involved in are:
