Level 2:
Understanding & Responding to Domestic Abuse Training (In-Person Training)
In this course, participants will gain a deeper understanding of trauma, coercive control and the impact of domestic abuse on children. They will also learn about safety planning and how to respond appropriately to disclosures of domestic abuse.
Following this training, participants will have:
- A greater understanding of complex trauma and the impact this may have on someone experiencing domestic abuse/coercive control.
- Learned how to recognise and respond to disclosures of coercive control and domestic abuse.
- Learned about the impact of domestic abuse/coercive control on children.
- An understanding how to offer support from a trauma informed perspective.
- The knowledge on how to refer to appropriate support services.
Courses typically run from 10am – 4.30pm (2 Day In-Person Training)
Certificate of attendance on completion of course
NB: Participants attending this course must have completed the Level 1 training.
